Meet the Pastor

Meet the Pastor:

Craig Curry has been our pastor since December of 2009.  His primary passions are preaching, pastoral care, and pot-luck fellowships.  He also truly loves ministering in the context of a community.  Craig grew up as the son of a pastor and lived in Arlington, Texas before attending Hardin-Simmons University.  He finished a Bachelor’s degree in Communication with an emphasis in Public Speaking in 2002 and he completed a Master of Divinity degree from Hardin-Simmons University’s Logsdon Seminary in 2005.  He is now pursuing a Doctor of Ministry degree from Baylor University’s Truett Seminary.  From 2002 to 2006 Craig worked full-time for Hardin-Simmons and was an itinerant evangelist.  Prior to coming to Dripping Springs, Craig served as pastor at First Baptist Church of Cisco, Texas.

Craig married his college sweetheart, the former Fallon Smith, in 2003.  Fallon has a bachelor’s degree from Hardin-Simmons University, a master’s degree from Dallas Baptist University, and is pursuing a Ph.D. at B. H. Carroll Theological Institute.  Her passions are education, administration and missions.

The Currys have one child, Lylah, born January 6, 2010.  Lylah enjoys being around people and looking at lights and ceiling fans.

Craig and Fallon love to visit with people and tell funny stories about each other.  Be sure to introduce yourself to them when you come to visit First Baptist.
